Gold Rose | Haute Couture Corset Dress

Gold Rose is a one-of-a-kind Haute Couture creation born from the encounter between artistic research, textile experimentation and couture craftsmanship. Designed to explore the concept of time through texture, colour and handcrafted techniques, it is one of the signature pieces of the ALXS Dreamland Collection.

The internal structure is built as a genuine couture corset with steel boning, sculpting the silhouette while providing stability, comfort and support.

The entire shantung fabric has undergone a meticulous hand-aging process developed in our atelier to create its distinctive weathered texture. Hand-applied faux leather trims define the garment's structure while creating an elegant contrast of materials.

Every decorative topstitch has been sewn entirely by hand. The painted finishes, colour gradients, sculptural flowers and dramatic trains were created using artisanal dye baths and painting techniques developed in our atelier, making every detail completely unique.

Entirely handcrafted in Italy, Gold Rose embodies the principles of Slow Fashion through artistic craftsmanship and couture construction.

The Story Behind Gold Rose

This creation was developed in collaboration with Bee Queena – Anita Mariani for the prestigious IFTA Awards 2019, a national competition dedicated to emerging fashion designers.

The project was selected from more than one hundred designers across Italy and was presented during the competition final in Salerno.

Following the event, the dress was exhibited as a textile artwork at Rocca Paolina in Perugia, curated by Laura Cartocci. The exhibition was originally planned to continue as a travelling showcase throughout Italy before being interrupted by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the following years, Gold Rose was also worn by singer-songwriter Borgia and selected for editorial productions, artistic projects and fashion shootings.
