Blue Blossom - Bridal Couture

This gown is one of the signature masterpieces of the ALXS Couture Archive. Originally created as the final project of my university degree, it embodies months of research, craftsmanship, and artistic dedication.

The gown was entirely designed and handcrafted by me as the final collection for my university degree, requiring months of research, design, and meticulous artisanal craftsmanship. Every element was created entirely by hand, from each individually sculpted and hand-sewn three-dimensional flower to the more than 10,000 Swarovski crystals, carefully applied one by one to create a captivating interplay of light and movement.

The bodice is constructed as a true couture corset, featuring push-up cups, steel boning, and an internal structure carefully engineered to support, sculpt, and enhance the silhouette while ensuring exceptional comfort and fit.

The skirt is composed of multiple layers of flowing chiffon, creating remarkable volume and lightness, and finishes with a dramatic cathedral-length train entirely adorned with hand-crafted three-dimensional flowers and thousands of hand-applied Swarovski crystals.

Every flower has been individually designed, sculpted, assembled, and sewn by hand, transforming this creation into a genuine work of Haute Couture.

Because of the extraordinary number of hours invested in its creation, its complex construction, and the meticulous attention devoted to every detail, this gown stands as one of the most valuable pieces within the ALXS Couture Archive.

This textile creation was exhibited at the Rocca Paolina in Perugia as part of an exhibition curated by Laura Cartocci. The exhibition was originally intended to continue as a travelling showcase across several Italian cities, but the project was interrupted by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
